The picket project...
A while back I started discussing the picket fence Mr. Dollz was building. (You can see Mr. Dollz in one of the photos.)
390 pickets, 20 fence posts later, he has completed the job. By law, the finished side of the fence has to face our neighbor's yards and so it does.
As you can see, we live very close to our neighbors. We live in the historic part of town. Our house will be 100 years old next year, but there are houses from the 1700's in our neighborhood. Many do not have driveways since they were built before the car was in use. (Makes for an interesting situation since parking is only allowed on one side of the road.)
Many homes still have hitching posts in front of them. And... George Washington camped on this street and other streets in town. The camping places are all marked with brass plaques.
It was big job and somebody had to do it. Good job, Mr. Dollz! You saved us thousands of dollars and the fence is really wonderful!
I see the weekend is just about here...
so enjoy the day and have a wonderful weekend!

That is an amazing and beautiful fence. I can only imagine. Not everyone gets a white picket fence. It looks so pretty next to your house. But I wouldn't trade you for the cramped parking situation.
Hello !! Love the new fence, Mr. Doll is a very talented man. Good job. Elizabeth, Decatur, IL
I love picket fences & dream of a home, on a little hill, with a white picket fence. A beautiful fence like yours!
