Summertime and the livin' is easy...or maybe I should say LAZY.
We have had major weather events here ( a microburst which caused a lot of trees to come down) cold days, rainy days, and hot humid intolerable days. And it is only the end of June!
We have been here..there..everywhere...and nowhere!
Here is a recent acquisition to my ever-growing collection of Edith Flack Ackley dolls and ephemera. It is a watercolor by her daughter Telka Ackley and was probably painted in the early 50s or late 40s. Edith had a line of greeting cards that were sold through catalogs that featured art work by her daughter of her own dolls. When this arrived it felt like Christmas in June!
The rest of the summer awaits. I will be here even less frequently because I am turning into a slug when it comes to blogging. Social media makes it so much easier to post things, stay in touch and visit others. But, I will be back...just maybe not right away!

Good morning dear Helen! I think weather wise we're in for a 5 or 6 day run of nice weather! I am beyond words excited.. and also apprehensive about getting too excited because you know how the weather changes for moment to moment!

Lovely picture my friend. Your weather sounds crazy there. Hopefully its settled down by now. We are really heating up here in East Texas. I've been staying mostly indoors under the AC :) Blessings ♡
