Memory Lane...

When we stopped into our favorite gardening center... Holdridge Home & Garden Showplace  in Ledyard, CT.    It's in another part of the state but we usually buy most of our gardening needs, flowers and vegetables there.

We  were very surprised at what we saw after we passed by this gnome near the door.  It was the first day the green house was open for the season and what we saw was unexpected. (Mind you, we still have chilly weather and snow on the ground in some parts of the state.)

In case you didn't know, this year is the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles to the U.S.A.  Was I one of those girls that was crazy about then Beatles? Of course!  Their first album was the first LP I ever bought.  (An LP was a long play record album with multiple tracks on each side that played at 33 1/3 speed rather than a 45 r.p.m. single with just one song per side.)

Here is the nursery's commemorative effort.   If you are a fan or a music buff, you can figure out the song titles on your own so I won't bore you with titles.

We would have loved to have brought the yellow submarine home with us!

The weekend is nearly over.  We had some warm weather and some cooler weather. There is a possibility for a snow storm mid-week. Normally, I would have pansies in the window boxes by mid February.   Unfortunately, the window boxes are frozen solid.  We noticed that many places still had Christmas wreaths and decorations because weather and deep snow prevented their take-down.

Hope you enjoyed the garden/musical nostalgia tour!

 We surely did!

As always,

enjoy the day!

What fun.....I would have tried buying the doll though :-) Hope your weather warms up so you can plant those flowers in your window boxes. Blessings
