All is well...

That was quite an adventure. We made it through and didn't lose power. No damage to our home and we feel very lucky/blessed. Of course, lots of branches down and yard clean up but we had put away everything or lashed things down that could fly through the air.

By now, you have probably heard all the hurricane news you care to hear. Most of CT is without power and there is plenty of damage to go around. Here is a house on our street. They worked into the night last night to remove the tree. (Will have to take a look when it gets light to see if the house is okay.)

Every street has a tree snapped in half or uprooted. Today would have been the first day of school for most children but it won't be. Between road damage, power outages, fallen trees and damaged buildings, it will be a big clean up day for most people.

It could have been a lot worse here..though it certainly was more than enough.

If you were part of this, I hope you are okay and didn't have too much damage. Despite the after effects, it is supposed to be a cool dry day with sunshine.

As always,

enjoy the day.

Hi so glad you survived that terrible storm. How very frightening it must have been. Thankfully in England we don't have weather like that...
Thank you for sharing those photos of your street. It brought it home to me how lucky we are here....xx

So glad to hear that you have weathered the storm and all is well. Amazing the picture of the uprooted tree; what incredible force to do this.

Be well,

Beth
