Bedbug Adventures in the City....

Bjork and I headed out to NYC with some friends this weekend.

The first thing she did on the train was jump into a friend's pocket. She found a new best friend who was very patient with her while she was scouting out photo ops...

Times Square...

Bjork gets into
the spirit of things...

The New York Public Library...

She wasn't the
only one posing...

Here is what it looks like now
at Ground Zero...

What the reflecting pools
will look like

There will be two...
one where each building stood.

We had tickets on double deck buses for the day but most of the time it was too rainy/foggy/windy to sit outdoors. Despite that, we visited several more places...which I will share in post in a few days. Don't tell anybody...but I love NY...my feet...not so much!

More to follow...

As always,
enjoy the day!

Wow, I bet you and Bjork had a great time. Did she go inside the library and chew on any of the books? Did she eat some chocolate?

What a Great Time! Bjork makes an adorable Pocket protector! And how exciting for her to be in New York City!!!
I love the photo of her under the Library Lion- she is Holding her own! I was happy to see Ground Zero...to think you and Bjork actually can watch the progress in person! Great Blog- can't wait to see more!

I love NY too! I always walk and walk there. Each block always seems a bit like a small town to me. I love all the green grocers and flowers on the streets.

I visited the World Trade Center site in December of 2001, soon after the tragic events there, and I'll never forget all that I felt. The construction workers were so kind to the visitors, and it was very moving to see them in their hardhats with American flags painted on them, and other such things. You could tell, that they felt deeply about respecting the site of the tragedy. I'll always hold that time close to my heart. It is still so sad to think about, but the way that so many people came together, that gave me hope, that no matter what happens, we'll rise above it.
