On pins and needles...

This past week I have been feeling so unwell with sinus problems that my creativity has been at a very low level at best.

One thing I did accomplish was a few more pincushions to organize needles and pins.
Up until now, I have used two HUGE pincushions to hold all sorts of tools mixed together: sewing, needle felt & doll making needles, straight pins, decorative pins, etc.

Recently I showed you the first one I made, but my plans were to make more. I have been collecting vintage sugar bowls. Have been weighting them (with BB's) so they don't move around.
They are also filled with wool stuffing--though I could have used polyester or excelsior.

It was fun needle felting the tops like little gardens. Now I can bring the bowl I need to where I an working and keep those sharp needles safely ensconced.

We are having a whole week of rain and this should help with the tree pollen. The Northeast has had a record year for high pollen counts and every where you go you meet people in the same miserable symptoms.

Taking my own advice... I will try to...

enjoy the day!
