Peaceful snow...

We received a foot of snow on Friday night but other parts of the state had much less. It was quite beautiful. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Ugly rhetoric for financial and political gain is a negative influence of society.
Nature can offer us much solace in a world filled with violence and harsh rhetoric.

More than ever,
one must enjoy
and appreciate the day...
every moment of it it.

We have our own snow today and you inspired me to enjoy every minute of my walks with the dogs! We crunched up into the woods and were the only ones around. Quiet... and so lovely with little flakes hurling down from the gray sky. The trees turning white and all of us in admiration of the beauty.

Why does other people's snow always look better than ours? Gorgeous pics. Do you ever make your own Xmas cards with your snowy images? Love the donkey you found at the antique store recently. I would have been sorely tempted with him but he is rather a big fellow.

I especially love that 2nd photograph. It is so beautiful right after it snows, and that is my favorite time. Seemingly untouched, the world is then, by all the hoo ha. Simple and uncluttered. I can just sit by the window, with my hot drink and stare at it for the longest time. Nature does bring me peace.
