Another doll...

Continuing with dolls, here is another by Carole Bailey. She is dressed for winter, wearing a bonnet, cape, muff, pantaloons and sweet little shoes in felt. Once again, the workmanship is superlative.

Winter Miss

Yesterday, I received a wonderful box of gifts from my artist friend April. Inside the teeniest little tin was this teeny little Queen Ann style peg doll. It has jointed limbs and is just an inch tall! There are some dolls around here who will want to hold her for sure. We must be very careful that she doesn't get lost here. Thank you, April!

Tiny Queen Ann peg doll

My little grands took me to lunch yesterday at IKEA. We had a great time in a huge store with its big dinning room in the cafeteria. It is such a family friendly shopping experience. They gave me some wonderful gifts including a Kathy Z bag which might appear here at some other point. My ten year old grand daughter made this wire bird nest for me, knowing how much I love tiny things, birdhouses, and such. I can also wear it on a ribbon or chain. I have had a wonderful birthday experience this year and I thank everyone for making this a special year!

The hot weather continues. Time to get moving here. Running a little late.

Appreciate the tiny things in life
and
Enjoy the day!

I am so glad you like the tiny doll but that exquisite birdnest....Oh My! Your grand daughter must be in league with the fairies to have created such a tiny, enchanting little nest. It is obvious she loves you very very much. What an irreplaceable treasure!
