Mrs. Staggs is having some fun in Merryville. She has prompted a fun project for her readers using images or concepts to prompt her readers to create some journal pages. I am always up for paper projects and am a veteran of many altered books...BUT...I lack discipline and Mrs. Staggs has ignited the fire to get some pages done.
My notebook/journal is BIG--13x9--about the size of a baking pan. (I should also bake a cake but let's not go there..more projects and long weekend await me.) I cut up my own artwork and photos after printing then pasted and painted away to my heart's content.
She invited us to participate with a post card she created which said "meet me at the fair." I chose to use her post card on my page. Right now, the autumn harvest fairs are starting up in our area.
Maybe you will want to join us, too?
Enjoy your day...and create if you can!

I love what you've done with your page!
Mine is still in progress- I have the idea, some of the elements, but no time to sit & concentrate on it :-(
Helen, I love what you've done! It feels just like a visit to the fair. I love all the displays of vegetables and all, and I especially like the blue ribbon on the cow's ear.
Thank you so much for participating. I've only done a small amount of collages and have never had a journal or a scrapbook before, so this is a bit of a first for me. It makes it a lot more fun, when I see other's work too.
Best wishes!
Thanks, Meg and Mrs. Staggs.
I think this will be fun and I hope lots of people make pages so we can see them. I often (usually!) need a jump start and Mrs. Staggs has got me in gear again.
I love your colorful modern approach to the fair. Can't wait to see what comes next.
