It's Friday...Friday!

It's Friday!  Here in Southern New England it is cool and drizzly although we are slowly warming up. It looks like we have a very nice weekend.  For now, I will take a warm cup of coffee or tea!

The week went by in a flash.  (Why is time so very speedy these days?)  Happy to report that the daily drawings are still with me and I have not abandoned my goal of a drawing a day. Another bed bug has come to live here with Bjork and his name is Beamer.  (Thank you to Kristi and to Valerie, too, for making him.) They are getting along fine and keeping me company as I draw and cook...

This past week I planted the window boxes with pansies.  It is still too cold to plant any plants that cannot tolerate frost. We can actually get a hard frost here right up until June.  Are you planting flowers yet?

Weekend plans are up in the air...spring  yard clean-up...a drive in the country...shopping come to mind. Last weekend we drifted up to Millerton, NY, and took in the sights and had lunch and a visited an antique store.  We saw lots of snow all over CT and the NY border. Perhaps it will have melted and we will see spring flowers soon.

Happily, the little goldfinches that come to the bird feeder have turned canary yellow and are no longer wearing their dull olive/gray winter coats.

Hope that you have a happy weekend whatever your plans...and can shed you winter coat, too!

As always,

enjoy the day!

I'm always amazed how similar our weather is to yours in spring and autumn but not winter and summer. You get HEAT and we rarely do. And you get reliable snow and we can have some years with none. New Englnd is a lot further south than old England so I'm surprised at the current similarities, Have a great weekend Eli x

I'd love to share a virtual cuppa coffee with you :-) Daffodils and hellebores are blooming now; in fact they survived being buried in nine inches of snow two weeks ago. Spring really will arrive, in her own time.

Have a lovely weekend,

Beth

Looks like your Spring is late like ours over hear in England. My seeds are on hold waiting for the weather to warm up even the daffodils are struggling to bloom.
Love your little drawings, how very talented.. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Take care.....xx
