Once again...

Well!

In case one hurricane/nor'easter was not enough...we had 12 inches of snow from yet another nor'easter.  There was one part of CT where the storm lingered for hours and hours and we live in it. Other parts of the state received between 3-8 inches. Weirdly enough, it will be 60 degrees on Sunday.  (This is part of the deck outside the kitchen.)

Imagine!  There are people still without electricity and without homes.  The temperature dropped to a very cold 28 degrees.  There seems to be no end to this ultra-quirky weather.

Nevertheless, we came through it without losing electric power.  My husband, if you remember, cleans off most of the snow on the sidewalks on our block with a snow blower. He does this as a neighborly thing...and went out yesterday morning in the dark to clear a path.  In addition to the extra inconvenience/problems to the already battered coastline, there were two traffic related fatalities within the state due to the terrible driving conditions during the storm--which had been predicted as rain.  The snow will probably be gone on Sunday.  Still, we are very grateful for coming through this recent storm unscathed.

Have the happiest weekend you can

wherever you are

stay safe

and

enjoy the day!

Oh Helen, the Nor'Easter was like adding insult to injury along the East/Northeast coast. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Take good care.
