Butterflies in the winter...

Once again we were off to Magic Wings Conservatory.  Nothing like walking through thousands of living butterflies on a blustery winter day in New England!

This hibiscus is the size of a small dinner plate!

It's like going to the tropics without going far!

Such amazing camouflage...
looks like eyes staring back!

Just love this little guy
and his reflection!

It's quite warm in the conservatory as you can well imagine. It felt great to get back out in some cooler air. We are having an unusually warm winter with very little snow and it feels like April instead of February.   As nice as it is, it is confusing to nature as plants are emerging months early around here...

It's a holiday today in the USA, so some will have the day off from work and school today. It's President's Day.  However you spend today,

as always.

enjoy the day!

Such a lovely mid-Winter oasis.

It has been exceptionally mild here in Indiana as well. I cannot recall a Winter with so much sunshine :-)

We have a butterfly house near us and I've always wanted to visit. Sounds a great way to keep warm on a winter's day. I hadn't realised the butterfies would be flying in winter so I must find out. Gorgeous colours.
