The best windows of all...

Here it is...a new year!  But, not very long ago, we were anticipating Christmas.

Ah, Christmas...long anticipated and too quickly over!  The stores are filled with Valentine's candy and gifts and have been for a few days already.

This year I just didn't see a window that met my expectations in term of originality or artfulness.  Traveling to different states and even to NYC didn't produce that feeling that I used to get as a child until...

As it turned out the best window of all was right down the road from here...less than 2 minutes away at "Consign and Design."  Today the conditions were right and I took some photos!

My favorite Santa is  one with the darker
wool beard right in the middle!

The back side of the display
was quite nice, too!

When I was young (in the dark ages) Epiphany was the formal end of the Christmas season. Sometimes, there would be a small present or treat under the tree for that day.  Yes, trees stayed up that long...one never took it down before the Epiphany on January 6th. How times have changed!

In any event, the new year is here.  Wishing you the best!

As always,

enjoy the day!
