Is it Friday already?

This week flew by!  We are having some very nice autumn weather here...and enjoying it thoroughly.

For several years we have seen this statue from the highway.

It doesn't really make any sense in New England to see an Easter Island statue like this...especially in snow storms.


We had occasion to visit this building recently and discovered it is the Timex Museum and retail store.

As we were leaving, I cast another glance towards the statue as cars sped past it on the elevated highway.

Mystery solved...the whole explanation is here...and is quite interesting....though this statue's location still seems a bit incongruous with its surroundings.

That was last weekend. Who knows what this weekend will bring in the way of adventure.  Sometimes you don't have to go far to find the unusual but you definitely have be looking around!
