Why I love the Internet...extreme doll making!

Having been on the net since 1997, I have made great friends, learned so much, etc. Totally awesome experiences! Yet, it never fails to amaze me when an artist comes up with innovative ideas...and this is one of the best I have seen in years!

Colleen Babcock, from the Magic Bean, is a wonderful cloth doll maker and teacher. She is also very generous sharing tutorials, photos, and ideas in her blog. I don't always sign her blog but I always read it.

Lately she came up with the most interesting concept...EXTREME DOLL MAKING.

I won't spoil the surprise for you, but Colleen took my suggestion and worked on a doll in a place that I would love to visit some day! Do you have any suggestions for her, you doll makers out there?

Thank you Colleen for responding to my suggestion. You have no idea how amazing this is to me --especially if you know the book--which chronicles a Transatlantic correspondence long before the days of the Internet! Can't wait to see where your project takes you next!

As always,

enjoy the day!

What a fun idea. I have thought of working on a doll on my long commute in and out of work, but worry a little about what my fellow travellers would think! Perhaps I should just be brave.

Lizzie, I think you would enchant your fellow travellers, if anything. Go for it!
