Good morning, Sunshine...

Well it was quite a week in these parts. For several days we had heat and humidity as if it were August. Temps soared into the 90's with fog and heavy humidity.

A passing cold front brought some violent storms and a tornado watch. We didn't get a tornado visit in our town but less than an hour away from here there is a wide swath of destruction and some deaths...unheard of this time of year and also rare. (Thank you to those who inquired about our weather.)

For the past two days, it's in the 40's when I got out of bed! It is 44*F here this morning...but sunny and no humidity. Finally... we are seeing sunshine and blue skies.

We went on long ride into NY yesterday. I didn't take one photo, didn't bring any dolls or animals for photo shoots... just chilled out and enjoyed everything...grateful for such a sparkling day.

Shout out to Shelley: She sent me a Skookum doll and some other adorable dolls. Hopefully, I will get out the camera and blog them soon. Thank you so much!

For now, I am just going to enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts and not even work on any projects.

What are you working on? Any weekend plans? How is your weather?

As always,

enjoy the day...

happy weekend!

So glad for your weather change....I so know that feeling of comfort after the high temps, high humidity breaks...unfortunately for East Texas that's not likely to happen until a couple of months from now... so glad you are enjoying your dolls....blessings on your weekend....

We saw your tornado devastation on our news bulletins here in the UK. It looked horrendous. So many homes and businesses in ruins. I hardly dare complain about our miserable May weather which did no harm but was just endlessly drab. I could just do with a trip to NY right now but doubt I'd come back empty handed!!

Goodness, you're having an interesting time of it there, in your part of the world. We're finally having some warm temps of our own. It hit 77 degrees on Saturday. Whoo hoo! LOL! I'm just so happy to be able to count on a bit of sunshine now and then. Our spring has been very cool.

Love your little gnome with the mushrooms in the previous post, Helen...charming!
