VERY tiny mice...

'Saw some tiny felt mice on Etsy and just needed to have them. To me, it is challenging to figure out how these things are made...and then try to make them myself.

Mine are the ones with the "flower hats." I think the vintage mice are from the 60's or 70's because they have polyester ribbon for skirts.

It hard to show scale...and hard to photograph small stuff. But, I hope you can see they are under 2 inches tall. The vintage mice are labeled "Made in Columbia."

As I was working on mice, I couldn't help think about who the maker was of the original mice and how far they had traveled. How much did they sell for? Who bought them? Who had them all these years? I hope the maker was paid properly. Needless to say, I wrote a novel in my head while working on them...I have the highest respect for people who make these tiny things.

A note to Shelley who reads by blog...hope you are feeling better. I am much better and thank everyone for their very kinds thoughts.

It rained for seven days then we had a day of sunshine. Now it is raining again. My heart goes out to all the people in the Midwest who have had treacherous weather and so much loss...and to those in flood areas as well. I am not all bothered by our rain...it is beautiful here right now and has made a beautiful spring.

As always,

enjoy the day!
