Spring time in Vermont...a road trip

Yesterday is was 80*F and humid in southern Vermont. (And... there was a still snow here and there on the ground.) Later in the day I found out that there had been a snow storm on April 23!

Meanwhile back here, it was foggy and rainy all day with temps barely in the 60's. We left in the fog and returned to fog. Such is New England!

We traveled to Chester to our favorite antique store where I did find some treasures and then to the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham. What a fun day!

As my regular readers know, I am obsessed with Belted Galloway cows. Imagine my delight when I saw a group of mini Belties!

At first glance, I thought they were normal sized Belties.

They did seem rather small compared to the fencing.

And then I spotted some Shetland ponies and realized they were no bigger than the little horses.

While visiting The Vermont Country Store in Rockingham, found out they will be hosting some regular sized Belties this summer.

I will share some of my treasure that I found in the next post. For now I am savoring the memory of a wonderful spring day in Vermont!

Hope you have some fine spring days, too. As always,

enjoy the day!
