Little creatures and other things...

Still working on "little creatures" and entranced with hedgehogs...

Mr. DollZandThingZ is making a rare cameo appearance posing with the hedgies.

I have been experimenting making various kinds of toadstools out of paper and out of spun cotton. It has been very overcast so it is hard to get a photo...but the light in the kitchen always seems to work.

As usual, I am working on other projects at the same time. There is always time in between while waiting for something to dry or waiting soup to cook on the stove or doing the laundry. If I waited until I had time or was better organized, nothing would get done!

It was flurrying this morning but it is in the 40's and too warm "to stick." Amazingly, that deluge of rain a few weeks ago cleared away the mountains of snow.

On a different note, I know I am not alone thinking about the disaster in Japan... as well as other suffering around the world. Though I try to be upbeat in this blog, the reality is that sad things takes place throughout the world. Making dolls and blogging are frivolous compared to natural and human made disasters. Yet, we must reflect..and persist with out daily lives.

With that in mind,
I hope you will
enjoy the day...
and value each day
as you enjoy it.

Helen, thank you for the words of encouragement here on your blog.

Your hedgehogs are adorable! Hope they don't eat all of your darling mushrooms :-)

Oh they are just too cute for words. I always wonder about Edie, does she ever get jealous when you are paying attention to other creatures/dolls/crafts/etc.?
I always think of Edie as more than a doll.....

Charming little creatures, and your fairy toadstools are charming too. I've always loved those red ones with the white polkadots.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by hardship, but these disaters we've been seeing lately surely give one clarity when it comes to appreciating even the smallest of life's pleasures. We take so much for granted. I am sending good thoughts and contributing to aid organizations, but perhaps sharing our small pleasures in life, help to give hope in a way.
