Chicken little...

There is something irresistible (to me) about a chicken wearing a dress and carrying a handbag. She was one of those silly purchases that I couldn't resist. She is made from felt. Nice old laces trim her dress and her little enamel jewelry is so pretty. She is right at home with other whimsical critters. I would like to make her some friends eventually.

As you can see, I made some more papier mache tea cups like these made from a pattern by Ann Wood.

The sun is shining; the snow has melted! It still looks like winter but we are getting so much more light and longer days...winter is really exiting.

What is occupying your days? Is is spring yet where you are? Are you being creative?

As always,

enjoy the day!

Ohhh I love her. And I adore looking all your creatures and dolls.
It is blackberry winter here. Cold, a little rainy and we haven't seen the sun in days.
As I was leaving work, I thought about how much I love this weather. Please don't think I'm crazy, but the longer it is cool, the further away triple digit heat is.
Have a great week.

Hilarous, your dress-wearing chicken has really brightened my day. The cups are amazing and I'm thinking I could fill my dresser shelves with similar ones and sell the expensive antique ones that I've collected over the years.

Well as you know it's all about cloth dolls for me now. thank you for the lovely comment. I know what you mean, I often see vintage dolls with a kind of cross look on their faces. it's so easy to go wrong with a few stitches! but they can kind of be charming that way too. Your chicken has a nice funny face!

I try to be creative everyday. Today though, I've been doing chores. Maybe this evening I'll do a little crocheting. My step-mom is in the hospital. I just got the call about that, so after dinner I'll go be with her there, for awhile. It's always nice to have a project to work on, just in case she falls asleep.

There is always something about putting an animal doll in clothes that brings out the whimsey in us. She's charming Helen.

More snow for you guys, yet. My goodness!
