Brighter and better...

We have had several days without snow! The sun is out more...and best of all? Our street has been widened! Snow plows, back hoes, and dump trucks came and took away snow since I last posted.

We were a narrow ice tunnel...now we are a street again! As you can see, the piles of snow between the curb and sidewalk are still taller than a dump truck. Yet, it is invigorating to know we could actually back out in an emergency and drive down the road. ( We have not seen the actual street since December 26.)

Of course, we still have several feet of snow on the ground throughout the state and still many roof collapses, but increased daylight and sun really makes it feel like spring is a possibility.

Have spent some time making Valentine cards and art...so creativity is seeping back in. What have you been doing to pass the winter time?

Dear reader, I wish you a happy weekend...

Happy Valentine's Day...

...and enjoy the day!

Oh Helen, it was so beautiful here today, we got 3-4 inches of snow, all gone by lunch, but still so beautiful.
Snow never fails to amaze me.
But I do hope it warms up for you all and their are no more roof cave ins.

Lovely and charming valentine Helen, as always. Your drawings are so cheerful. I like that about them, very much.

We have chilly weather here today. The damp sort that seems to cling, no matter what we do.

I've been making valentines too, and reading some. Today is chore day, but I'm taking a lunch break, and saying hi to you!

Yay! You can see pavement! Hopefully we will be there this weekend. Ours is buried under ice, not snow, so a weekend of above freezing temps may reveal the street again :-)

Working an a Spring Spirit...hoping to hurry Spring on a bit :-)

Happy Valentines Day!

Beth
