It's just the gypsy in my soul...

The Christmas ornament project was a big success at doll club. Everyone went home with a pretty ornament. If you attempt to make an ornament, you can use felt instead of batting, stickers for the faces, any number of other things. My design was just a jumping off point. Let me know if you make any!

Well...this Edith Flack Ackley pattern gypsy doll came home with me from the meeting. I purchased her from a friend who is always on the look out for me. (Thank you, Jane!)

In a decade of collecting and studying EFA pattern dolls, this is the first time I have encountered one with teeth embroidered. And look at that penguin dress! That fabric is wonderful! She has a few flaws...a piece missing from her scarf...but, all in all, I really like her and am am quite happy to have her in my collection. It is the "Mommy made" dolls that I love the most. In fact, it was an EFA pattern gypsy that got me started collecting.

On a different note, I sold a lot of my latest creations so I must start working again. At the moment, I have tendinitis in my wrist so I am going to have to wait a few days before proceeding. Hmmm...I might have to do housework instead. That is not as much fun!

As always,

enjoy the day!

She's beautiful! I just found your blog, a little hop and skip from EFA group, to Flickr (so many amazing pics, I'll be drooling there for awhile!)Other projects keep me from starting a little EFA, have her pattern all cut out, she's so patient :)
