Simply irresistible!

Pollyanna

Even though I said I would NOT get another Edith Flack Ackley pattern doll, there was no way I could resist this one made by Carole Bailey. This doll is so pretty and her clothes are exquisite. Carole has been a clothier for antique dolls for many years and her work is just so lovely.
She is an incredible seamstress.

While it is true that I also make these dolls, there is nothing more wonderful to me than owning the work of other doll makers.
Even if you love to cook, going to a restaurant can be a treat! This lovely doll is a treat for me. The doll is named Pollyanna and she certainly lifts my spirits!

Is is really Friday? It is drizzling this morning. It is so very dry here any rain is welcome.

Soccer season has begun for grands, so our weekend wanderings will be interspersed with the games for a while. It is really quite beautiful in New England right now...late summer with tinges of red and yellow on the trees. This is my favorite time of year and definitely a reward for such a hot, awful summer.

Happy weekend to all... and as always,

enjoy the day!

She is lovely, Helen. These dolls capture the heart so easily.

Enjoy your New England Autumn; my favorite time of the year too.

It is always exciting to have another doll and why not? Especially one so charming!

In the upper 90's here for the weekend...oh Fall, where are you?

She's absolutely gorgeous, I love her and would certainly have given her a home. I agree about the restaurant thing. I'd rather buy a doll than an expensive meal any day!
