The Hunt!

A few months ago, Bear came to live with me. He loves the computer and has begun a long distance friendship with Winston who lives very, very far away.

They have discovered they both have the same turtle living at their house. It is named Twila after the artist who painted her. This discovery was quite a surprise and by pure accident.

Captain Winston organized a Hunt with the assistance of Alpaca Monkey, his Secretary and able bodied assistant. They went off in search of Heffalumps, Woozles and Yorkies. With proper armor, they were prepared for the Hunt.

Amazingly, they both found a Yorkie and a Heffalump in their very own homes.!

Bear was going to invite his Captives to tea, but he was too tired to Bother. Instead, he had a Little Something Stronger and took a nap!

The moral of this tale is that you are never to old to play. And strangely enough, there are two Internet pals who have similar taste in bears and with similar imaginations. Who could have imagined fun like this when we were little kids? And, we wish to thank A.A. Milne for our love of bears. And, thank you April, for friendship and Adventures!

With all the bad news drifting about the planet these days, play is welcome respite.

I wish you a playful weekend and...

...enjoy the day!

Hello, NE Bloggers!
Our 1-year anniversary is coming up on Jan 27. To mark the occasion I am going to put up a Mr. Linky on the evening of Monday, January 25. If you'd like to write a post about living in NE, fav places to visit, funny stories and stereotypes, recipes, photos of our gorgeous landscape, anything, it would be great if you would link in. I'd also like a little idea of # of participants, if you could just send me a reply.
Since I don't have emails from everyone, I'm also leaving this message in your comments, sorry for the double-up.
