Only a week away...

It won't be long now...only a week away. Edie and her friends are anticipating the holiday as you can see. They didn't have any snow so they made do with a saucer.

Looks like we could actually have a white Christmas this year. There is a winter snow storm predicted this weekend. It should start on Saturday and snow through Sunday. It's 12 degrees here this morning.

One of my simple pleasures here is listening to satellite radio. Right now I am listening to "It's a Wonderful Life" on the old time radio station. Radio Classics.

Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed also starred in the radio version on " Lux Theater." Of course, I love the movie but I also love listening to old time radio shows. My parents and grandparents must have listened to these same programs. Ever see "Radio Days" by Woody Allen? It is probably my favorite movie.

The radio...snow...the holiday season...a wonderful time of the year.

Until next time,

enjoy the day
and have a happy weekend!

Merry Christmas to you, your hubby, Edie and all the dolls. And as usual I'm jealous of the snow. It's cool and gray here....but no snow in the forcast..

You know I love the dolls, but I don't believe I have seen the furniture before today. I want to touch it! :-)

I listen to radio on my computer all day, also. It was talk radio, but that became a bit depressing (confession, I do keep updated in tiny snippets on doings of the capital here and there throughout the day) so I switched to Christmas music on AOL radio a few weeks before Thanksgiving. It makes me happy and I will continue with that station until???

I don't send out Christmas cards and finally discovered why just this year. About 15 years ago, a friend of mine who is Jewish determined that my company (really, me the owner) had to send out holiday cards. I LOVE Christmas!!! Even though I have celebrated Hanukkah with friends and enjoyed it, I celebrate Christmas. So, I stopped. Now that I understand why, I may just start again next year.

Hope you have snow. We are off to Boston, airport only, and then right back so the puppies will only be alone for about 9 hours.
