Unseasonably warm..

It is unseasonably warm around here. As you can see from the photos, the grass is still green and there are still leaves on the trees in southern CT.

Last night we went to bed with a down comforter and woke up to a thunderstorm during the night. The temperature rose to 61 degrees overnight.

Other years, we might have had snow by now. Ironically, this is the first time I put away my summer clothes in a timely fashion and could really use some of them now. Timing is everything...and mine is seldom right!

What are you all up to? Anyone shopping for the holidays? Still up to my nose in projects here. The weekend is around the corner. Thanksgiving is next week. Time flies...

Enjoy the day...

and happy weekend!

how picturesque...the weather here is warm also, skies are sometimes sunny, sometimes gray...but i love this time of year. it is such a relief from the heat. we will be going to KY for Thanksgiving to celebrate with David's sisters. She texted this morning and said to be sure we bring our winter coats. and i'm always hoping for snow......

What an incredibly lovely place you live in. I can't imagine those being my daily views. How blessed you are.

This looks so gorgeously New England, I'd love to wander round and enjoy it for real.

It has finally turned colder here, but we've had a couple of those strange seasons in the past, and I always feel so odd during them. I want my seasons, and I especially enjoy brisk autum and winter days.

Your scenery and photgraphs are both so lovely Helen.
