Does the painter...

Does the painter...ever paint?

Somebody asked me that recently because "a painter" is a profile name I chose years and years ago and it appears when I sign a blog.

Well, yes, I do paint. I just do not show my paintings online. Because I do so many small mixed medium pieces nowadays, I don't devote the time I once did to large pieces.

Every so often, I do complete a larger painting. This one was from the spring a couple of years ago when I was inspired by a very pink sky behind some birch trees. Spring was on the verge and the earth was tinged in pale green and it looked like it held great promise and joy.

This painter is not painting today though. There is much to do and I need to tackle one of the those UFOs. This week flew by in a blur.

Back to to work here, but first let me say...

Enjoy the day...

and have a very happy weekend!

I love the birch trees and the lovely sky! What an enchanting painting. I think birch trees are my favorite. They are always in fairytales..always magical. Your painting is wonderful!

Oh my, Helen. It's a lovely painting. You are talented at everything you attempt, it seems. I especially appreciate the fact that you have your own style of creativity. So many blogs look the same, but yours feels original. I like that.
