Early fall...

is so beautiful in New England. Although the peak of color is not here yet, it is the early touches of color that I love best. These were taken in MA last weekend.

I love the deep reds, orange and yellow against the still vibrant greens. I feel the same in the early spring. I like the slight touch of pale chartreuse and subtle pastels before the leaves and blossoms emerge. The early tinges of color seem very hopeful to me, very serene.

Enjoy the day and the upcoming weekend. In these unsettling days, I hope they are as serene as an early fall day in New England.

I heard on the news this morning that New England is just now reaching it's peak. I imagine the color is brilliant!

Gorgeous photos! Thanks for posting these. The fall leaves aren't nearly as pretty as yours in Paris. :)

These are ao pretty Helen. I lived in Massachusettes for about 3 months when my dad was stationed there one time. Fortunately, it was during the autumn. I've never forgotten how beautiful it was....and obviously still is!
