A is for artichoke.....A few years ago, a friend and I decided to make a set of alphabet trading cards for each other. We are both painters so we chose watercolors as our medium. The theme was fruits and vegetables.
It was tough choice for me. Do I start with asparagus or artichokes or apples? The artichoke won.
Over the weekend I found an excellent recipe for pasta with artichokes here. This one of my favorite food blogs.I have made a similar recipe by tossing fresh asparagus, garlic, oil, and shrimp with whole wheat pasta.
It has been a winter of soup sand stews and now it is time to look towards lighter fare. From time to time I will have to make a recipe by pulling out one my food related artist trading cards and using what is on the card for inspiration!
