Merry Merry Merry!

Are you ready for the Christmas/holiday season?  I am.  Keeping it minimal and keeping it relaxed and reflective.

Christmas brings out the best.. and worst in people. It can be hard for some, joyous for most and stressful if you work in retail...as I did when I was younger.  Family disagreements may erupt, hurt feelings happen and disappointment can get into the mix.

It can be a religious or secular time or both... a time to reflect and a time for giving. It is the time of Hanukkah , Kwanzaa, Three Kings Day,  New Year's Day, Boxing Day, the Winter Solstice and the Epiphany.

It is a time of year when we miss those we have lost.  The season is celebrated world-wide in one form or another.  It is an exciting time for children and many people will get engaged or fall in love on one of the holidays.

For that reason, I like the season. I used to complain about the commercialism but it really doesn't affect me at all. What affects us is in our hearts and that should be peace.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season

however you celebrate it.

be well, be peaceful,

and as always

enjoy the day!

Merry Christmas, sweet Helen. This was our first Christmas without my Mother, but her loving influence in our family resonates so strongly that she was there with all of us, and we had a lovely day (last Saturday was our celebration).

Truly Christmas is what we keep in our heart, not what we put under the tree. Gifts are our expression of love. Thank you for the gentle reminder of this :-)

Happy Holy Days to you!

Beth
