Boo!

Can it be?  Where did summer go?  The weather has been so good here I am totally confused!  Flowers still bloom in the window boxes and several people told me that they have tomatoes or squash still growing in their gardens. No matter!  It will be chilly enough soon enough!

Here are a few photos from recent day trips.  We certainly have been blessed by beautiful blue skies!  These photos were taken in upstate NY around Kingston.

Of course, real life stuff happens, too, Company coming, company going, soccer games in the rain, meals cooked, stuff made and pictures drawn.  Why is life speeding by so quickly?

Are you ready for Halloween?   We are.  We don't decorate much but we do get at least 100 kids at the door.  We live in the center of town and have some fabulously decorated homes that draw spectators and kids from all over town and nearby towns.  The costumes are usually fabulous that the kids wear--- from toddlers to teens.  Some people are annoyed by the number of kids that trick and treat but when I see the wonder and the costumes, I cannot resist handing out treats.  It was never a favorite holiday of mine but I know that it can be fun for some!

Happy autumn!  Happy halloween, if you celebrate it!  Until the next time, as always.

Enjoy the Day!

When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam,
May luck be yours on Halloween.

Hi Helen, your neighborhood sounds wonderful. I wish I could be there to help you hand out treats. I don't live in a neighborhood and have never had kids come for treats, except the grandkids of course :) My friend Betty gets around a hundred visitors on Halloween night though, even here in our very small town.....she lives in town, in a neighborhood. Your picture of your travels is beautiful as always. And your little drawings Darling. I did nothing in the way of Halloween decor this year, at the disappointment of my little grandson :( I do have some fall things out, but just a bit. Blessings my friend
