Papery gnomery....

I sort of made that up:  "Papery gnomery."  For some reason I happened to make three gnomes one right after the other afew days ago.

The Gnomey guy on the left is just made of cardboard and paper, taped and covered with tissue paper and collage medium.  (I used Mod Podge and masking tape and a cereal box.)

The middle piece is a vintage spool, embellished with my own drawings printed off and used on top.  (I donated this to a raffle where it was a hit!)

Gnome #3 is made from a vintage spool and papier mache.  His head is a ball of aluminum foil, covered with masking tape before adding the layers. Here he is naked and drying over a heater vent...

They all were finished with several layers of acrylic paint and a few coats of acrylic varnish.  So essentially, they were made from stuff already on hand and thus...very inexpensive to make.

Are you doing anything creative?   Drawing?  Knitting? Painting?  Sewing?

So much to do and so little time!

Be well. and as always,

enjoy the day!

Oh they are too cute for words! They remind me of the film Amelie. There are gnomes in the yard of a house nearby and I can't help but smile every time I see them. :) xx

Your gnomes are all charming Helen, but I think the spool gnomes are especially sweet, but then, I have a special fondness for your drawings.

Your winter has been amazing so far. It must feel like quite an adventure!
