Little paper things...

The best things in life are not always free...but they can be relatively cheap if you make them with paper!  My friend Carol and I have been trading art for a decade and use a lot of paper, recycled stuff, and scraps to make art and "altered art."

We recently swapped small cardboard boxes with lids...about 5 inches square.  Here is the box Carol gave me...with my Hank on the box top.

Here is the inside--her two adorable Boston Terriers named Lily and Rosebud.  Rosebud is still a baby and quite a character. Lily is lovely and Rosie is devoted to her!

Here is the box I made for Carol...with a little village on top made from various materials.

Carol found this little box matchbox she had done and forgot to give me...isn't it cute?

Here is part of a book I worked on recently...you might know this bug if you follow Martha and Jane or you have seen Bjork here.

It takes time and imagination
...glue and paper...to make something fun!

Meanwhile we are having summer weather  in Connecticut with record high temperatures for spring.  At the moment it is 80 degrees F.  Last year it was still snowing. March is usually cold, wet, snowy and seldom get into the 50's or 60's.  Most of the country is having warmer weather....

how is the weather where you are?

As always,

enjoy the day!
