Whirling Yorkie...

As kitschy as this is, I could not resist putting one of my characters that I draw onto a whirligig. Hank, our real life Yorkie, was the inspiration. I used to see stuff like this when I was younger and grimace. Thankfully, I developed a sense of humor over the years.

As you can see, we live on a street where the houses are very close together and also very old. Our house turned 100 last year as did several other built by the same builder at the time.

The back of the house is off the side of a hill so our deck is one story up from ground level. In the top photo, I had put it outside to dry and it was whirling effortlessly in the wind and hard to get a photo.

Where did the week go? It wasn't long ago I was dreaming of spring and now it it's here. A gentle rain is falling and the lilac bushes have started to open their leaves. Forsythia is beginning to bloom and I planted our window boxes with pansies this past week. To me, spring is chartreuse...softer than summer and filled with promise.

Enjoy the day...

enjoy the season

wherever you are..

and happy weekend!
