As those of you who read this blog know, a friend and I swap all sorts of paper art regularly.
Several weeks ago, we decided to make charms for a charm bracelet. We each made 2 sets of 8 charms so we would each end up with 16 charms. Here is my bracelet with the two sets of charms. We used beads, polymer, wood and fiber besides paper. We love the way the bracelets came out.
As for me, I am working on five creative projects simultaneously. I am almost finished with one of them. It was a really ambitious project but I cannot show it in my blog as it is a gift for someone who reads this blog. As a matter of fact, a lot of what I am working on is for people who read here so those things will not be making any appearances.
Last night we dropped into IKEA to purchase a down comforter. We enjoyed dinner in the cafeteria and looked out into the sparkling New Haven skyline. It is one of the best views in the state..in a cafeteria! That is another simple thing we like to do....the food is inexpensive but the ambiance is priceless.

The charm bracelet is enchanting! I would love to know the sentiment behind each charm. Of course I recognize some but I would love to know more. Charm bracelets are so personal. I have 3 from my Mama and wish I had asked her about all the individual charms. Each one represents a momentous part of her life. I agree with AngelMC- you are so inspiring!!!
Making charms has intimidated me, but I do love them. I am particularly drawn to your designs which are so different than anything I have ever done before in my crafting. Such a beautiful bracelet.
I love the food at IKEA! When my friend from Houston drove all the way to Austin where we were staying for my husband's business this summer, we spent the "day" at IKEA and had our special lunches. She always gets the Swedish meatballs. I get the salmon.IKEA is connected to special friends, special family times, and great memories.
Love the charm bracelet Helen. These always fascinate me and I had a go at making one a while ago which was OK but nowhere near as interesting as this one. There are all sorts of possibilities aren't there. I'll have to have another go some time (maybe I could knit one!!!)
