A beautiful day in the neighborhood...

After a torrential downpour on Saturday, Sunday turned out to be a day of perfect weather.

Our New England town has its annual fall event celebrating the town and its restaurants. It happened only a few blocks from here.

As we ate and walked through the crowds, I kept spotting Spiderman. He stayed in character and jumped from place to place, never standing straight up and with great acrobatic skill. Needless to say, he was crowd pleaser. Children and adults were charmed.

We ate Cuban food and it was excellent. Our town has cuisine from everywhere and it was hard to choose since we like it all.

It is said that people don't even know their own neighbors anymore but that's not true where we live. We live in a town with a population of 40,000 plus but the neighborhoods in the old part of town still thrive. We stopped and talked to neighbors as we walked along. We had a very good time...in our own neighborhood.

Time to start the day. Happy Monday!

Enjoy the day!

Oh, fun! And, so many people out. Your pics on other posts are so pretty. There is lots of beauty in the northeast to be seen.

you know, your pictures make me want to visit New England.
isn't it great to live in a place where you know your neighbors?
