Teeny Tiny

I love teeny tiny things. When I was a kid I would make dolls out of paper matches, twist gum foil wrappers into dolls and let them all live on a leaf. When I was very young, I had a doll house. At this time, I have no room for a doll house but I do love them and have gone to many miniature shows to see them. I like N scale trains as well.

These days I make and collect teeny tiny dolls and animals. There is no rhyme or reason to the types I make or collect. In my miniature collection there are brass, glass, cloth, metal, china, ceramic and polymer miniatures. The problem is they are all difficult and/or time consuming to photograph.

Here are some examples of come cloth mini dolls and animals that I have I made. The doll in the pink dress, Edie, is 4 inches tall so you can judge the scale by that. The dress on the spoon is a second dress for the little one in tan calico. She is 2 1/8 inches tall.

Some look at life through a telescope and others through a microscope. I think that I am the microscope type!

What type are you?

Enjoy your day and your holiday weekend!

Hmmmm, I think I'm a little bit of both, perhaps. I tend to make smaller things, rather than large things though. Especially since I discovered tube turner tools. What a difference they've made to my crafting. I'd like to think larger when it comes to making dolls though. For some reason, that intimidates me a bit.

Thank you for another interesting vistit.

Best wishes.
