Bedbug Adventures in the City....

Bjork and I headed out to NYC with some friends this weekend.

The first thing she did on the train was jump into a friend's pocket. She found a new best friend who was very patient with her while she was scouting out photo ops...

Times Square...

Bjork gets into
the spirit of things...

The New York Public Library...

She wasn't the
only one posing...

Here is what it looks like now
at Ground Zero...

What the reflecting pools
will look like

There will be two...
one where each building stood.

We had tickets on double deck buses for the day but most of the time it was too rainy/foggy/windy to sit outdoors. Despite that, we visited several more places...which I will share in post in a few days. Don't tell anybody...but I love NY...my feet...not so much!

More to follow...

As always,
enjoy the day!

More of the bedbug adventure...

After we had lunch we strolled across the parking lot to Harney & Sons....which was our original destination.

Bjork is there in the sign...
can you see her?

The tasting room...

When we made our purchases, Bjork jumped out of my bag and onto the counter. Russell graciously posed for a photo.

Just a short distance away was the most wonderful flower shop. As a person who was a florist apprentice during my high school years, I have always had the utmost appreciation for well done shops. This one took my breath away!

It is housed in a wonderful old station...
the decor is over-the-top beautiful!

The gracious and talented owner told us the story of the railroad station. (She painted the homage to Monet's garden in this corner of the shop.) The building is steeped in history. We stayed a long time and could have stayed longer and look forward to a return trip.

Soon we were on our way home. Bjork jumped back into my bag and took a long nap. But, we think we created a monster. On Sunday she was was ready to go again.

We were on our way elsewhere when we saw these mixed up belties.

Obviously, something went amiss and they are not true "belted Galloways." But they are charming in their own way...

It was a fun weekend... with a touch of spring. We think that maybe the snow is actually over for now. After a lot of rain, we see green grass.. and dandelions, too.

The week flew by! As we approach another weekend,

happy weekend

enjoy the day!

Must see! Off to Oz!!!

The plot is thickening...Dorothy is captured...the Woolies have turned into Oz characters!

The finale of the great OZ Event ends tomorrow! Will you be entering our giveaway???

Meanwhile, it is going to be 70*F today for the first time since last fall. The weather will be back in the 40's tomorrow but today will be pure bliss!

Our furnace will be turned off as we open windows and "change the air" as we say in New England.
Tonight it is plunging to 34* so those windows won't be open for long!

Any plans for today? Any plans for the weekend?

As always,

enjoy the day...

and happy weekend
