A visit to the Tasha Tudor Museum...

Hannah saw the sign....

as were passing through
Brattleboro, Vermont.

How fortunate!
We were in time!

Many books
are on display..
.

Marjorie made
the marionettes.

Amy Tudor was our
charming hostess.

There are books
and other things
to purchase, too.

Tasha Tudor's portraits
are on the wall.

Isn't the loom wonderful?

Don't you love the
spinning wheel?

Very poignant
to see her dresses...

For now The Tasha Tudor Museum is housed in the Brattleboro Historical society until a permanent location is found. Two rooms upstairs in the wonderful old building display the everyday world of the late Tasha Tudor.

Amy Tudor showed us around and she is as nice as can be! She is married to Tasha's grandson and it is her darling baby that appears in the Rookery Ramblings Blog as well as other family members. They recently had a giveaway and Amy told me there are planning another in the future.

There are a lot of the books Tasha illustrated on display but not all are there...yet. Even at that, it is an overwhelming body of work
.

Have you been to the Tasha Tudor website? You must visit it! It is a fun website.

Tasha Tudor was a remarkable woman and illustrator. We love the Marlboro /Brattleboro area for its great beauty so we know why she loved , too.

Thank you, Amy Tudor, for talking with us. We wish you the best of luck with the museum.

As always,

Enjoy the day...

and Happy Labor Day

to those celebrating it today.
